Week 13 concluded the 2019 Garden of the Week contest. Thank you to everyone who submitted nominations over the summer months. The Town greatly appreciates the work of the Communities in Bloom Committee and the Niagara-on-the-Lake Horticultural Society for running the contest over the past thirteen weeks. Thank you to our prize sponsors; Caroline Estate Winery, Regal Florist and Garden Centre, Penner Home Hardware Building Centre and Miracle Gro. Lastly, thank you to the local media who covered the contest and published photos in the paper each week. Congratulations to all of the winners!

The winner for Week 3 is 643 King Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake, owned by Alex and Randie Topps. The comments from the judges are as follows; “This garden has a lovely symmetry of Kousa Dogwoods and White Birch. The strategic placement of a Spruce tree provides privacy, and there are lovely perennials in co-coordinating colours with a viewing bench to enjoy the gardens.”

The winner for Week 2 is 83 Gage Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake, owned by Peter Howe
and Judy McLeod. The comments from the judges are as follows; "Our winner this
week has a property filled with mature shade trees and lush landscaping that spans two
streets on the corner of Victoria and Gage. There are beautifullymanicured lawns with
walkways leading to the home and the right balance of planting beds"

The Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, in conjunction with the Communities in Bloom Committee and the Niagara-on-the-Lake Horticulture Society are pleased to be running the Garden of the Week program over the summer months.
The winner for Week 1 is 210 Centre Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake, owned by Steve Cohen and Joe Carlino. The comments from the judges are as follows; “This garden has a flowing design, very simple yet elegant. The color pallet of lime and burgundy is stunning set against the home. The homeowners have done a magnificent job!”
