    The start of Phase 2 begins at East West Line and ends at Line 3 Road.

    Phase 2 from East West Line to Line 3 Road is approximately 2560 meters or 2.56 kilometers.

    What will the trail surface be made of?

    The Phase 2 section of trail will be the same as Phase 1, granular base with a limestone screening top layer.

    How much money has been raised for this phase?

    The Heritage Trail Committee has raised approximately $34,000 for Phase 2, in addition to a grant for $60,400 from the Canada Healthy Communities Initiative funded by the Government of Canada.

    Will motorized vehicles be allowed on the trail?

    Motorized vehicles are currently prohibited on the Heritage Trail. 

    Will there be any tree removal in this section of trail?

    Tree removal may be required in certain sections of the trail to ensure safety and trail alignment. All efforts will be made to preserve the existing trees. However, pruning or limbing some trees for safety may be required.
