The start of Phase 3 begins at Line 3 Road (south side) and ends at Line 9 Road (north side).
How long is the rehabilitation of Phase 3 (Line 3 Road to Line 8 Road)?
Phase 3 from Line 3 Road to Line 8 Road is approximately 4225 meters or 4.22 kilometers.
Additionally, Line 8 Road to Line 9 Road is approximately 760 meters or 0.76 kilometers.
What will the trail surface be made of?
The Phase 3 section of the trail will have the same granular base as Phase 2, with a limestone screening top layer.
How much money has been raised for this phase?
The Heritage Trail Committee has raised approximately $50,000 for Phase 3. Additional fundraising and donations are required to complete Phase 3.
Will motorized vehicles be allowed on the trail?
Motorized vehicles are currently prohibited on the Heritage Trail.
Will there be any tree removal in this section of trail?
Tree removal may be required in certain sections of the trail to ensure safety and trail alignment. All efforts will be made to preserve the existing trees. However, pruning or limbing some trees for safety may be required.
