The Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake is undertaking a comprehensive Review of Special Events to modernize how events are coordinated, enhance process efficiency, and create a seamless experience for event organizers, community members, and municipal staff. Special events are a vibrant part of our community, enriching culture, fostering local pride, boosting tourism, and contributing to economic development.
In partnership with StrategyCorp, this review will result in a new Special Events Policy and By-law that provide greater clarity, consistency, and alignment with the Town’s strategic priorities and accessibility standards. The updated framework will focus on streamlining the application and approval process, developing clear event definitions and guiding principles, and creating a fair and transparent fee structure.
The Town is committed to ensuring that future event coordination is grounded in inclusivity, operational clarity, and fiscal responsibility.
We want to hear from you! Community feedback is essential to shaping this review. Through surveys, focus groups, interviews, and workshops, your input will help assess awareness and satisfaction with how events are managed, identify areas for improvement, and ensure the new approach reflects the unique character of Niagara-on-the-Lake.
There are two surveys below: one for the community and one for special event organizers. Please complete either of the surveys by August 22.
