St. Davids Park & Pool
At the July 16 Council meeting, Town staff were directed by Council to engage a consultant to work with the public on a new plan for the park and pool that will meet the community's needs, now and in the future.

As indicated in other messages, the position of the pool building makes it difficult to see from the road. Better signage both on York Road and signs directing people to the pool would be helpful. The pool was built with lights both in the pool and around the deck, for over 25 years evening activities haven’t been possible due to the dark. Let’s consider this an option when redesigning. Like the former resident from Sarnia said in another post, it would be great to see a side pool connected - like at the Niagara Falls YMCA... the town needs to acknowledge the growth of the Glendale area when updating this pool. In the early 2000s the St.Davids pool was given some cosmetic upgrades while the Niagara Pool was completely replaced. This was almost 20 years ago. It’s time to upgrade this pool before the Niagara pool needs major work.
0John Gartnerover 4 years agoThe pool is a valuable asset serving a fast growing community .It serves all age groups and should be rebuilt as a year round facility .
1Tishover 5 years agoI'd really like to see an indoor pool in our community, benefiting all residents. St David' is a good location, and the timing is right.

A refurbished pool with a larger deck area could be inviting. A splash pad would be wonderful, but not at the expense of the pool.
6Adriana Vover 5 years agoLion's park should be a hub. Raise money through fundraising and corporate sponsors and keep the pool for the community.
