Niagara-on-the-Lake Comprehensive Parking Study
Project Background
The Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake has initiated a Comprehensive Parking Study to address a range of parking challenges and opportunities across its five (5) urban areas: Old Town, Virgil, Glendale, Queenston, and St. Davids. The study aims to identify opportunities to improve parking availability & accessibility, support financial stability, and better integrate parking with transportation alternatives.
The Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake has retained LEA Consulting Ltd. (LEA) to complete the parking study. LEA will support the Town by reviewing current parking conditions and developing recommendations to optimize municipal parking supply, improve parking operations and enforcement, and enhance visitor and resident experiences. The study will also ensure that parking infrastructure aligns with the Town’s long-term planning priorities.
Public Engagement Opportunities
Engagement with the public is critical to understanding the parking needs and concerns of the community. The Town is seeking community input through a survey and Public Open House. Residents can participate in several ways:
Pop-Up Consultation Events: Share your thoughts with the Project Team at community events.
Online Survey: Share your thoughts through an online survey. The survey will be open until September 30.
Public Information Centre: Join Town Staff at a Public Information Centre to learn more, ask questions, and provide feedback, which will be scheduled for Fall 2026.
Stay Updated: Follow the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake on social media and visit this project website for project updates.
The Town looks forward to hearing your feedback on the Comprehensive Parking Study.
