Adriana
Hello,
I am very concerned about the St David’s pool . A splash pad is not a good replacement for a community pool . I know the city wants feedback and with all the young families moving to the area this pool is only getting busier each summer . It would be heartbreaking to loose.

Good Morning,
Thank you for reaching out. The motion approved at the July 16th Council meeting reads as follows; that staff "engage a consultant and work with the community on a new plan for the park and pool that will met the Community’s needs, now and in the future." You can read the full motion under "Correspondence and Motions" here: https://bit.ly/2nqx5Y6. This process will begin in the Fall of 2018 and soon the Town will be consulting with the public, primarily through Join the Conversation (JTC), and also through a community engagement session. Keep an eye on the Town's social media for an announcement about when the JTC page goes live.

I agree with Adriana and her concern of losing the community pool. This pool has allowed children to stay local and learn safety and swimming skills throughout the summer. However we can express our concern to the town, please let us know so we can stay involved.

Hello. I just want to add my concern as well in regards to the St. Davids Pool. I just recently learned about the possible closure and my children and I are extremely sad about it. We moved in 3 and a half years ago not knowing about the pool until discovering it by accident. My children love using the pool and it is the only way I can get them to play outdoors. They also enjoy the playground equipment and newly renovated tennis courts near by. At the pool, you usually see people of all ages while a splash pad only appeals to the little ones. As the population of St. Davids is increasing and are just becoming aware of the pool's location we are seeing more and more people at the pool each year. Taking away the pool would be a major loss for the St. Davids community.

Agree 100%. The area is growing. This is not the time to take services away. Have some forward thinking
